Forge is a personal fitness, training, and health-record app operated by Healthspan Group LLC. By creating an account and using Forge, you agree to these terms. How we handle your information is covered separately in our Privacy Policy.
Who Forge is for
Forge is for your own personal, non-commercial use. You must be 18 or older. You may not resell access, use Forge to deliver services to your own paying clients, or use it on behalf of an organization, without our written agreement. Sharing your record with your own coach or a family member through the app's sharing feature is fine — that is what it is for.
Not medical advice
Forge provides general fitness, training, and health information. It is not medical advice, diagnosis, or treatment, and it is not a substitute for care from a qualified health professional. Forge is not a medical provider and does not have a doctor-patient relationship with you.
Talk to your doctor before starting or changing an exercise program, and stop and seek care if you feel unwell. Never start, stop, or change a medication or a treatment because of something Forge showed you. If you think you may have a medical emergency, call your local emergency number — Forge is not monitored and cannot help you in an emergency.
Your health record, and checking what's in it
Forge uses AI to read the documents you add and pull values out of them — lab results, medications, dates, and so on. AI extraction makes mistakes. It can misread a number, attach it to the wrong test, miss a unit, or get a date wrong.
You are responsible for verifying the values in your record against the original documents. That is what the review queue is for: extracted values wait there for you to confirm or correct, and every value links back to the source page it came from. Do not treat an unverified value — or any AI summary — as accurate, and do not pass one to a clinician as though it were a lab report. The original document is always the authority.
Forge is not a medical record system of record. Keep your own copies of anything that matters, and do not rely on Forge as the only place a document exists.
Your account
You are responsible for keeping your login credentials secure and for activity that happens under your account. Provide accurate information, and only enter a mobile number that belongs to you. Turn on multi-factor authentication — your record is worth protecting.
Sharing with other people
If you grant someone access to part of your record, you are choosing to show them that information, and you can revoke it at any time. We are not responsible for what someone you shared with does with what they see. If you record information about a family member, you are confirming it is appropriate for you to hold it.
Acceptable use
Do not misuse the service: no attempts to breach security, disrupt the service, access other people's data, scrape or resell the service, or use Forge for unlawful purposes.

- Personalized training guidance sent by text message: workout recommendations, feedback after you complete a workout, periodic check-ins on sleep, recovery and progress, and replies to training questions you text us.
- How to join
- Open Settings in the Forge app, go to the SMS Messaging section, enter your own mobile number, and confirm it with the one-time verification code we text you. Consent to receive messages is not a condition of purchase or of using the app.
- Message frequency
- Message frequency varies. Most people receive a few messages per week, plus a reply whenever they text the coach.
- Cost
- Message and data rates may apply. Forge does not charge you for these messages; your mobile carrier's standard rates apply.
- To stop messages
- Reply STOP to any message at any time. You will receive one confirmation message and then no further messages. You can also turn messaging off in Settings.
- For help
- Reply HELP to any message, or email info@protocol.us.
- Carriers
- Mobile carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages. Supported carriers may change without notice.
Your mobile number and messaging opt-in are handled as described in our Privacy Policy, and are never shared with third parties for marketing purposes.
Availability — best effort
Forge is provided on a best-effort basis, "as is" and "as available." It is a small, actively developed app: there is no uptime guarantee, features can change or be removed, syncing from a third-party service can break when that service changes, and maintenance can interrupt access. We do not promise that Forge will be error-free or that AI output will be accurate. To the extent permitted by law, we disclaim the implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement.
Limits on liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, Healthspan Group LLC is not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for lost data, lost profits, or any decision you made based on information Forge showed you. Our total liability for any claim relating to Forge is limited to the greater of the amount you paid us in the twelve months before the claim, or one hundred US dollars.
Some places do not allow these limits. Nothing here limits liability that cannot be limited by law, and where a limit is not permitted, our liability is limited to the smallest extent the law allows.
Ending your use of Forge
You can stop using Forge and delete your account at any time; deletion is described in the Privacy Policy. We may suspend or end an account that misuses the service or that we are required to close.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Delaware, USA, without regard to its conflict-of-laws rules, and any dispute will be brought in the state or federal courts located there.
Changes to these terms
We may update these terms as the service evolves. The version and date at the top of this page tell you which version you are reading. Material changes to the health-record terms are announced in the app and, where they change how your health information is handled, we ask you to agree again. Continued use of Forge after an update means you accept the updated terms.
